CSS Family Music Series: Carnival of the Animals

The CSS Music Program presents the inaugural concert in a relaxed, family-friendly, and sensory-friendly concert series for all ages. The CSS String Orchestra and pianists Jessica Schroeder and Emily Valine perform Camille Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals, with narration by Kevin Quarmby.

Mitchell Auditorium, College of St. Scholastica 1200 Kenwood Ave., Duluth

Cost: $7 general admission (adults), free for all kids and students (pre-K to college), and free for Sisters of the St. Scholastica Monastery.

These guys are slightly vaudevillian in their approach to the audience. They get everyone engaged and waiting for what may come next. One member of the crowd compared them to the Smothers Brothers of 70’s fame-firstly they are musicians, but there will be loads of jokes and stories. They play off each other, but watch it, you may unknowingly become part of the show.

Rabbit Hole

David Lindsay-Abaire tells the tragic tale of Howie and Becca Corbett and the events that shattered their world. Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize, Rabbit Hole tells the story of a family trapped in grief and loss. Driven apart by tragedy, Becca and Howie’s relationship desperately needs healing and a path to find their way back to each other and a brighter future.
